On Saturday night, come out to Magenta Plains gallery in the LES from 6-8pm for the release of issue five of FOUNDATIONS, a glorious, full-color 128 page magazine. This issue focuses on contemporary art and comedy.
I'll be hosting the comedy portion that features Ana Fabrega, Ike Ufomadu, and Lorelei Ramirez. There's free beer. You'll be able to purchase copies of the fancy magazine, which includes a feature-length essay by yours truly on the comics who are performing and many others.
The evening starts with an exhibition walk through at 6PM with Magenta Plains director Olivia Smith and artists Tiril Hasselknippe, Kah Bee Chow and Sandra Mujinga, whose exhibition "Skip Zone" is currently on view in the gallery.
Magenta Plains is located at 94 Allen Street between Delancey and Broome St.
